The Ft. Totten APFT Course follows a paved asphalt trail. It goes through a section of woods, and then you run between the East River and the Parkway. The course is relatively flat and each quarter mile was marked.
I hit the mile mark at 9:00 and I finished in 18:35 my fastest two mile run of the year.
For the first time in four years, I ran without pain, without gasping for air without feeling drained.
It had to happen eventually.
It was surprisingly warm out, a great day to run.
