I saw the numbers at the finish line, I sprinted.
Really sprinted for the first time since before I broke every bone in my left leg back in ’05.
Too bad I didn’t start my sprint earlier.
It was very cool, 53 degrees, perfect running weather.
Now 315.6 miles for the year.
I was still almost last place. Most of the people running were small, thin and young. Mostly airmen and women, only a few soldiers.
It was the fourth fastest 5k I’ve run in the past four years and I was still almost dead last.
I hope to break 30 minutes in the next 5k.
